Do I pay before or after the work?

Before, but not to the expert. You fund escrow up front, which is how the expert knows the work is real, and the money only reaches them when you approve a milestone. See “How escrow protects your money”.

What if the work is not what I asked for?

Request a revision within the agreed rounds, with specific feedback against the requirements. If it still is not right, request a refund or open a dispute — escrow stays held while either is decided.

What happens if I do not respond to a submission?

It auto-releases after the review window, 7 days by default. This is the one way to lose your leverage by accident, so if something is wrong, request a revision or open a dispute before the window closes — both stop the clock.

How do I know an expert is legitimate?

Every expert is reviewed by a person and has completed identity verification before they can be hired at all. On top of that you can read reviews from completed projects and see their success rate.

How many jobs can I post for free?

Three by default, then a subscription is needed to keep posting. Ordering services, accepting offers, messaging, and running projects are never limited — the allowance only covers broadcasting a job to the whole expert pool.

My job post is not showing on the board. Why?

It is most likely held for review, which happens when the automatic policy check is unsure. The usual cause is contact details or an external link, sometimes inside an attachment rather than the text. Edit that out and it clears; a person can also override the automatic verdict.

Can I hire the same expert again?

Yes, and it is easier every time. Order one of their services directly, or ask them for a custom offer — you do not need to post a job again.

Who owns what the expert builds?

Agree it explicitly in the scope before funding, and put it in writing in the workspace. Treat any assumption about ownership that is not written down as an unresolved question, not a settled one.
