Apply whenever you are ready to sell. It is free, and it does not change how your account works as a client.
One account, two roles
AutoGineer does not have separate client and expert accounts. The same login hires work and, once your expert application is approved, sells it. Expert-only features simply appear when you qualify for them, and your client-side access is never removed or reduced by becoming an expert.
Set up two-factor authentication early
This account can hold money and control payout destinations. Turning on 2FA takes two minutes and is the single highest-value thing you can do for its security. See “Account security and 2FA”.
Use an email address you will keep. Changing it later is possible, but for approved experts an email change pauses expert status pending review — by design.
